A Little About Me

After leaving school I joined Crewe Alexandra Football Club and after completing two years as a goalkeeper in their Youth Training Scheme, I achieved my preliminary coaching badge in 1996. I progressed to Level 2 certificates in both outfield and goalkeeper coaching and in 2012 I went back to Crewe Alexandra to assist Steve Philips with the

Academy goalkeepers.

Once Steve moved on I worked alongside Paul Antrobus in running the goalkeeper program for the under 8s to under 18s.

During my 6 years working at Crewe Alexandra I gained several certificates;

• UEFA B Outfield Coaching 

• Goalkeeper B Coaching

• FA Youth Award

• FA Basic First Aid

• FA Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults

• FA CRC Checked

• FA Licenced Coach

In 2018 I moved to Stoke City Football Club where I continued my development as a coach whilst working in fantastic facilities.

Just for Kicks Sports Development was founded in 2016 and during that time I have worked with some fantastic young goalkeepers some of which have gone on to sign for professional Academy's such as Liverpool, Stoke City and Crewe Alexandra. I have also seen two goalkeepers sign professional forms at both Stevenage and Crewe Alexandra.

I offer group sessions and one to one sessions. Group goalkeeper sessions are held in South Cheshire at the HUB in Alsager and Sandbach United Football Club, see the sessions page for full information. Contact me for for availability of the one to one sessions as they book up quickly.

Due to my contacts with Stoke City the goalkeeping session are a potential pathway into Stoke City Academy so you might see the odd scout at some of the sessions!
